Who we are
RideLoop is a marketplace and local-services app for cyclists. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to mmuazazhar@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, authentication records, and account identifiers.
- Marketplace content: listings, descriptions, prices, photographs, saved items, and approximate public listing locations.
- Shop and service data: shop profiles, inventory, services, opening hours, appointment requests, notes, and appointment status.
- Communications: messages and attachments exchanged through RideLoop.
- Transaction records: cash-confirmation status, agreed amount, timestamps, cancellations, and disputes. RideLoop does not process card payments.
- Device and technical data: push-notification token, platform, app version, request logs, and security diagnostics needed to operate and protect the service.
- Location: foreground device location only after permission is granted, used to center maps, find nearby places, or select a listing location. RideLoop does not request background location.
Photo location metadata is removed before listing images are uploaded. You can browse maps without granting precise device location.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts; publish and manage listings; show nearby shops and services; coordinate appointments, chat, and cash confirmations; send requested notifications; prevent abuse and double-booking; provide support; and meet legal obligations.
When information is shared
Information you publish—such as listing details, listing photographs, approximate location, and public shop information—is visible to other users. Appointment, chat, and transaction details are shared only with the relevant participants and authorized RideLoop administrators where needed for safety, support, or moderation.
We use service providers to operate RideLoop, including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Expo for app delivery and push-notification infrastructure; and Mapbox for maps and directions. Google Maps may open externally when you request directions. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal data.
Storage and security
RideLoop uses access controls, encrypted network connections, account authentication, row-level database security, and restricted administrative access. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sharing passwords, card details, or unnecessary sensitive information in listings or messages.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and service data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide RideLoop. You can request account deletion from the app’s account settings. Deletion removes or anonymizes personal data unless limited retention is necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, backup recovery, or legal obligations. Published content may remain briefly in cached or backup copies before routine deletion completes.
You may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing mmuazazhar@gmail.com from the address associated with your account.
Your choices
You can edit account and listing information, disable notification or location permission in device settings, cancel eligible appointments, manage messages and listings through the app, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, object to, restrict, export, or erase personal data.
Children
RideLoop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as RideLoop changes. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
